You can create your own form for WHAT YOU WRITE in the passages, questions, and answer choices.  This form lets you identify important information quickly and know where to re-read specific details.

PASSAGES

• Mark up the passage however you want.  Consider underlining the main idea or marking it with a symbol (like M).  Another good thing to note is the general structure or organization of the passage.  This is usually found in the first or last sentence of each paragraph.
• Marking up the passage helps you focus and not space out.  For example, looking for important information to underline forces you to think about the kind of details that you'll be asked about later.
• Labeling information like this is what allows you to read the passage quickly while marking the details that you'll go back to when answering the questions.

QUESTIONS & ANSWER CHOICES

• Go through the answer choices one-by-one, and look for reasons to eliminate the wrong ones. 
• Eliminating answers lets you focus on one answer at a time.  Your other option, judging which answer is most right, involves comparing multiple answer choices at once.  Which one sounds simpler to you?
