• Create an example bank of 9 examples.  Collect them from at least 3 different sources (i.e. books from English class, historical events, anything you know a lot about).
  • Read the sample essays.  Then write several practice ones yourself using your bank. 
  • Make 25 more vocab flashcards and keep studying all of your words.
  • Take a full, timed practice test.
The Official SAT Study Guide (Paperback)

This is the only book with practice tests that are actually written by the creators of the SAT. In other books, we have come across occasional mistakes and the questions aren't quite the same as the real test. Without a doubt, these are the most realistic practice tests available.
