Besides spending the majority of your life at school already, you now have to burn free time--outside of class--preparing for yet another test. Test prep companies swoop in, sensing that you're vulnerable because you care about your future. They guarantee certain score increases because it gets attention. They market their services to your parents because that's who supposedly decides what you do. As a result, the content is ridiculously boring and packaged as "tips" or "tricks" that are useless the second you finish the test. So, while you could take part in choosing one form of test prep over another, why would you? They all SUCK.
Our contempt for the antiquated fixtures of the test prep industry stems from personal experience. Besides representing a financial barrier to college, their gimmicky approach is fundamentally flawed: they value the SAT above your overall education. Such a narrow focus on the immediate result sacrifices the long-term effectiveness of how you get there. Because they ignore the responsibility inextricably linked to education, they do not deserve our respect. They deserve irrelevance. We can do better.
We propose a solution to this snafu--a symbiotic relationship, really. Imagine an education that's entertaining and effective: easy to find, use, share, and remember. Getting educated would be stimulating, not mind-numbing. We're talking about a fundamental shift in what you expect from the education you consume.
Higher Score Insight is a tribe of creative individuals. We've got the skills and attitude to spark this transformation, but we need your support. To earn your loyalty, we serve you education that's effective and entertaining. We intend to share insight that not only improves your SAT score, but also develops habits and skills to help you with whatever you do afterwards. You, the student, have a choice to make when it comes to preparing yourself for the SAT. We urge you to choose wisely, wield your parental influence tactfully, and join us in believing that LEARNING DOESN'T HAVE TO SUCK. In fact, it shouldn't.
